ASD/ADHD Support Assistant

A creative, holistic Primary School in Newham with specialist provisions for SEN is looking for a confident, ambitious ASD/ADHD Support Assistant to provide support for pupils with various Special Educational Needs and with a specific focus on Autism.

You will be working alongside a motivated team of specialist teachers, various therapists and inclusion staff as an ASD/ADHD Support Assistant, helping manage the classroom environment, creating exciting activities and delivering tailored programmes to pupils using the extensive equipment at the school.

The ideal candidate for this ASD/ADHD Support Assistant role would be a graduate searching for the perfect role to start their career in education, or an individual passionate about SEN who is looking to work alongside the best specialist staff and equipment such as Speech and Language Therapists, Hydro-therapists, Psychologists and more!

Additionally, this is a perfect role to provide a valuable experience for aspiring Psychologist, SEN teachers, Therapist, Primary School Teachers and more.

  • ASD/ADHD Supportive Assistant
  • Starting ASAP
  • £105 - £110 per day
  • Full-time, full academic year, term-time only.
  • Based in Newham

About the ASD/ADHD Support Assistant Role

  • Provide support for pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 with SEN requirements.
  • Use your creativity and imagination to excite the pupils.
  • High-quality and bespoke CPD will be provided.
  • Strong inclusion team to support you.

Ideal ASD/ADHD Support Assistant

  • A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for all pupils to flourish within.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Creative and confident to use your innovation to create fun and exciting activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion in supporting those with Special Educational Needs.
