My client, one of the worlds leading defence provider is looking for a talented individual to become an Operations Instructor in Faslane. As an Astute Class Operations Instructor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll deliver Operations training for Tactical or Sonar systems, provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) input into the analysis and solution development for technical change to the existing product and to provide SME advice in support to Marine Training's projects. You will need to hold comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Submarine Tactical or Sonar Systems.

Day to day, you'll provide training to students with a wide range of experience, predominantly within Operations Training discipline but also to provide assistance with generic training and liaise with the Training Design team.

Essential experience of the Operations Instructor:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Submarine Tactical or Sonar Systems
  • Experience of Submarine Control Room management

Qualifications for the Operations Instructor:

  • Qualification as an Operations Warrant Officer/Senior Rating with relevant experience, in the Royal Navy Submarine Service


The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
