Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Salary / Benefit: 24k - 34k DOE + Company Vehicle + Training
Expanding South West Asbestos Consultancy is recruiting for a qualified asbestos surveyor to join their team. The role would suit those who hold the P402 and 6+ months site experience working within the asbestos industry. The successful candidate will be travelling across the South West / South Wales region, working alongside lead consultants to deliver high-end asbestos management services. For the right candidate, the client can offer training into other environmental sectors, as well as support in gaining further asbestos qualifications.
The client is open to location and is happy to consider applications from Cornwall / Devon / Somerset and South Wales. Good locations would include; Bristol, Bath, Bridgewater, Taunton, Glastonbury, Swindon, Chippenham, Sailsbury, Dorset, Bournemouth, Bridport, Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth, Barnstaple, Cardiff, Newport and Swansea.
Experience / Qualifications:
- BOHS P402.
- Minimum of 6 months site experience.
- Keenness to develop within the asbestos industry.
- Full driving license and happy to travel as part of the role.
- Friendly and able to work well within a team.
Role:
- Travelling across the South West / South Wales region; undertaking management, demolition & refurbishment asbestos surveys.
- Working across a mixed portfolio of sites including domestic, local authority, commercial and industrial.
- Carrying asbestos bulk sampling.
- Producing asbestos reports following site visits.
- Working to HSG 264 guidelines.
- Liaising with lead consultants, management and clients regarding works conducted.
- Representing the business in a professional manner at all times.
