Salary: NJC 3-8 £20,812 - £22,777 FTE, Actual Salary: £17,794.26 - £19,474.33 + AET Wellbeing Cash Plan + Pension Scheme LGPS + Additional AET Benefits

Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Start Date: As soon as possible, Permanent

Four Dwellings Academy is moving from strength to strength. We are a proud, genuinely comprehensive school in the heart of the Quinton community in Birmingham. We are ambitious for all our pupils and are determined that they should achieve academic excellence and develop strength of character. We have a committed and ambitious team, and have been very successful at developing teachers and leaders with progression both within and beyond the academy across the wider Trust.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Art Technician to support the students and teachers within the Creative Arts Department. You will work with the teachers and support staff to ensure that programs of personalised learning are set for students. You must be able to work on your own initiative and communicate effectively at all levels.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Will be able to offer invaluable practical and administrative support to teaching staff to support Art and technology lessons.
  • Ideally have experience of working in a school within a workshop based environment or be a graduate with experience looking to enter into work in education.
  • Have good numeracy and Literacy skills with at least an NVQ2 in Art or Technology subject
