Job Title: Art Teacher

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire

Position Type: Full-time (3/4 days a week negotiable for the right candidate)

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students through the delivery of dynamic and imaginative art lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to contribute to our school's commitment to excellence in arts education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess stimulating art lessons that develop students' technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking abilities, in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity and express themselves artistically.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their artistic development and encourage experimentation and risk-taking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and promote cross-curricular connections through creative projects and initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs and exhibitions, to showcase students' work and celebrate their achievements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Art or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for art education, with experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 art.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students through innovative teaching methods and engaging curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • Commitment to promoting the school's values and ethos, and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
