Art Teacher

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £27,000 - £45,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of artists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Art education and the ability to deliver an engaging curriculum to students at the secondary education level.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring art lessons that foster students’ creativity and skills in various art forms.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage development.
  • Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and participate in school events and art exhibitions.
  • Stay current with developments in art education and integrate new ideas into the teaching plan.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in Art education, such as a degree in Fine Arts or Art & Design.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Art.
  • Prior experience teaching Art at the secondary education level.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A passion for art and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
