Art Teacher Needed For a Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham - June 2024

Contract type: 1 year fixed maternity cover

Payscale: Inner London Main payscale 1 to Upper Payscale 3

Engage Education is currently working with a school in Barking and Dagenham who are actively seeking a Art Teacher to join their dynamic team to start after the May half term. This will be on a 1 year fixed maternity cover contract.

The successful applicant will be expected to lead inspirational lessons to all pupils and effectively manage a classroom.

The incoming Art Teacher will be expected to deliver dynamic lessons that stretch their classes and encourage a passion for the subject. The school requires the ideal candidate to have experience teaching Art at both Key Stage 3 and 4. Experience of teaching Art to an equivalent GCSE level in another country will be taken into consideration.

You must:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have experience delivering Art across the full age, gender and ability range, in a secondary school
  • Have a proven background of developing teaching and learning within a Art Department to a high standard
