Art & Design Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Art & Design lessons tailored to the needs and interests of boys aged 11-16.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where creativity thrives and students feel encouraged to express themselves.
  • Teach a range of artistic techniques and mediums, guiding students in developing their skills and artistic vision.
  • Incorporate elements of art history and cultural context into lessons, enriching students' understanding and appreciation of the subject.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs and exhibitions.
  • Uphold the values and ethos of the school, promoting good behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Art & Design with the ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Passion for art education and a commitment to inspiring creativity in young learners.
  • Strong subject knowledge and proficiency in a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate male students.
  • Experience teaching in a faith school environment is desirable but not essential.
