Area Sales Manager

This is more of a "2nd jobber" role, we have been asked to find a motivated, dynamic candidate with experience in field sales.

Our client is a UK market-leading school uniform and sportswear retailer. They provide high quality, sustainable uniform and sportswear to schools, parents and ultimately, pupils across the UK. They operate via a variety of channels including nearly thirty stores across the UK.

Taking over a patch with multiple live school accounts, this opportunity is all about initially protecting that revenue then looking to develop it further through excellent account management and new business prospecting.

• Current mix of 80% account management and 20% new business
• Patch to Gloucester, Swindon, Bristol, Bath, Dorset, Plymouth
• Typical week would be 1-2 days WFH or in Altrincham head office for research, prospecting and tendering with the rest of the time on the road
• Prospect and develop business with current school accounts to maximise revenues
• Develop relationships with new customers
• Rapid response to inbound sales enquiries in your area
• Attend "pop-up" sales events
• Develop profiles and business plans for each customer account
• Contribute ideas to marketing to develop and promote business further

• Agile - deal with very different decision makers form head teachers to CFOs of multi academy trusts
• Genuinely interested in education
• Commercial sales experience
