Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Controls & Heating Products

Area to be covered: South West & South Wales (Bristol to Swansea)

Remuneration: £50,000neg (depending one experience) + 20% bonus

Benefits: Electric company car OR circa £5,000 car allowance & full comprehensive benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Controls & Heating Products will involve:

  • Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of controls and heating systems such as: electric / hydronic towel rails, hydraulic radiators, thermostats, timers, heaters and heating devices for both new build or refurbishment applications
  • 60% of your time will be spent creating demand / generating specifications with social housing developers, developers, housebuilders and contractors such as: Guinness Homes, Bromford Homes and Centrica
  • The remaining 40% of your time will be spent selling to national builders merchants, regional builders merchants, plumbing and heating merchants, electrical wholesalers and buying groups such as: Grahams, City Plumbing, Plumbase etc
  • Inheriting a well-established territory currently turning over £800k
  • Will be predominantly be an account management position however will be expected to generate some new business
  • Working closely with and report directly Sales Director

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Controls & Heating Products with:

  • Must have experience selling related electrical / plumbing & heating building product experience such as: heating controls, boilers, radiators, electrical controls, piping systems, plumbing systems
  • Ideally electrical heating / controls background (not essential)
  • Ideally generated specifications with social housing developers, housebuilders, developers and contractors such as: Guinness Homes, Bromford Homes and Centrica
  • Would consider someone from a merchants route to market background however would prefer you to have developer relationships
  • Energetic self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks to deadlines
  • Trustworthy and professional approach
