Area to be covered: South East London, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent and east Sussex

Remuneration: £38,000 - £42,000 + up to £17,000 Commission

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Bathrooms will involve:

• Field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of traditional bathrooms
• Responsible for 200+ active accounts, and another 200+ inactive/ dormant (50% Independent bathroom retailers, 30% buying group members and the remainder plumbers merchants and some national merchants)
• 80% of your time calling on independent bathroom retailers and showrooms within plumbers merchants
• 20% working with the field sales team of two large bathroom distributors on patch
• £2m ledger responsibility (50% sold to direct customers through the two distributors and 50% via the independent retail distribution channel)
• Account management led role
• Responsible for gaining commitment in respect of point of sale displays
• Inheriting an area achieving well against budget expectation
• Promoting three different ranges (2 x med-high end) and a more affordable luxury range

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Bathrooms with:

• 12 months+ field sales experience from the bathroom industry (open to KBB sector)
• Must have sold into independent retail showrooms, buying groups or plumbers merchants
• May be open to sales person who has worked for a bathroom showroom over a number of years
• Fire in the belly
• Capable of treating the area as if it was your own franchise/ business
• Autonomous in approach and excellent communicator
• Good presentation skills
