Job Title: Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Oxford
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technician with a specialization in the application of building science and technology to architectural and construction projects. As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for managing the design process and providing innovative solutions through your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the application of building science and technology to architectural projects, ensuring that the design process is managed effectively
- Utilize your technical expertise to provide innovative solutions to architectural and construction challenges
- Negotiate and manage the development of construction projects, coordinating with various stakeholders
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure effective project delivery
- Assess project requirements and develop detailed design specifications
- Oversee the production of construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and provide technical guidance, as required
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in building sciences and technologies, assessing their potential application to ongoing projects
- Mentor and support junior architectural technicians in their professional development
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in applying building science and technology to architectural and construction projects
- Recognized as a specialist in the field, with the ability to manage the design process and provide innovative solutions
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing the development of construction projects
- Proficient in the use of relevant design software and tools
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A recognized architectural technician qualification or equivalent
