Job Description:

Are you a passionate social worker with experience in mental health? We are seeking an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team in Carlisle.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing and supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need.

Responsibilities:

Conducting Mental Health Act assessments and making decisions regarding the appropriate course of action.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individuals' needs.

Providing crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.

Advocating for the rights and best interests of service users, ensuring they receive appropriate treatment and support.

Maintaining accurate and thorough records of assessments, interventions, and follow-up activities.

Qualifications:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status or willingness to obtain.

Experience working in mental health services, preferably in crisis intervention or AMHP role.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to promoting positive mental health outcomes.
