We are working with Warrington Council to find an Apprenticeship Lead on a temporary basis. 

Contract: Temporary (4 months minimum)  
Location: Warrington, hybrid, 2 days a week in office.
PAYE rate: £17.07 per hour
Umbrella rate: £21.31 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Lead to oversee and develop our Apprenticeship programme. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective planning, development, promotion, and delivery of high-quality apprenticeship provision that meets our organisational requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in apprenticeships, experience with local authority work, and be available immediately for temporary work.

Day to Day of the Role:

- Lead the Apprenticeship programme across the Council and schools, ensuring high-quality delivery and engagement.  

- Manage the apprenticeship levy transfer process to external organisations in line with the council’s policy.  

- Manage the council’s Levy account, maximising spends and reconciling it quarterly.  

- Develop and implement apprenticeship programmes in line with organisational needs and regulatory guidelines.  

- Monitor, evaluate, and assure the quality of apprenticeship programmes.  

- Provide guidance and support to apprentices throughout their journey.  

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Practical experience in developing and implementing apprenticeship programmes and standards.  

- Experience with apprenticeship providers, learners, and managers.  

- Experience of managing a levy account and mapping job roles against Apprenticeship Standards.  

- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, levy, and associated activities.
