Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Training Executive to join our client on an ongoing long-term temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months.

Your new role -

As the Apprentice Training Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to work with the company to determine Apprentices' needs, training plans and activities in order to ensure the delivery of fully qualified and highly motivated apprentices.
You will support the Lead Specialist and the Group Leader in developing Apprentice skills, competencies, and UK organisational capabilities in line with business needs through appropriate training schemes, qualifications and placements.
You will provide individual Apprentice support, co-ordinate their training needs and manage attendance and disciplinary issues.
Your remit will include supporting the Lead Specialist in planning the placements of Apprentices, agreeing learning objectives for each placement, and measuring their attainment.
You will also play a key role in supporting the Lead Specialist in the management of internal and external relations with stakeholders, including the Trade Union, local functions taking apprentices and our education providers across our apprenticeships.
Supporting the agreed community projects and initiatives, you will support responsibility for the design and procurement of apprenticeship training programmes to best use government initiatives. You will also impact innovation by bringing new concepts and competencies to the company apprenticeship programme.

What you'll need to succeed -

Ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline. (Level CIPD 3 in L&D, HR is preferred)
Strong operational experience and good knowledge of processes.
Good understanding of Apprentice Programmes and Processes.
Awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues relevant to the area of responsibility.
Expertise in the UK qualification system is desired, combined with knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and the rules of combining qualifications within them.
Understanding of MS Office and IT systems, SAP.
Digital skills such as L2/3 data analytics are advantageous.
