Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking an Applications Engineer based in North Beds for a rapidly growing company.

Salary: £30,000-£40,000
Job Location:  North Beds
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week 

The role…

As the Applications Engineer your role will involve the following important duties:

• Translate the customer requirements into coherent and accurate technical specifications. 
• Implement the customer technical requirements into the system using real-time embedded development through CODESYS, Matlab/SIMULINK
• Installation and commissioning.
• Working at customer sites or remotely to support the installation of developed solution. 
• Use JIRA to manage all aspects of project management. 
• Travel to customer site may amount to 40% of the total time within the role. 

The experience required…

As a successful Applications Engineer, you will have the following:

• Minimum 5 years of real-world programming experience using CODESYS, Matlab/SIMULINK
• Minimum 5 years experience using CAN-bus and higher-level CAN-bus protocols 
• Knowledge of real-time control principles essential 
• PLC Programming.
• Mechatronics or computer science degree or essential experience
• Must have a full, clean UK driving licence for travel between sites.
