Shift Pattern: 6am - 14.00pm Monday - Friday

Rate - £15 - £15.95 per hour

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an Analytical Chemist on behalf of a global company in the Health Technology industry. This role is 6am - 14.00pm on an initial 12 month contract with potential opportunity to be extended or made permanent.

The successful Analytical Chemist will join the team based at Nottingham City Hospital. The Analytical Chemist will play a critical part in supporting senior PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Chemists to collaborate data and feedback findings to the team and a major client. You will need to be confident in relaying data back in a group setting and to the wider team.

Responsibilities of the Analytical Chemist:

  • Liaising with QA/QC teams on a daily basis to ensure all required documentation has been completed and sent across to client.

  • Be the lead contact for one of our customers: ensure all requested info/data is provided according to agreed schedule, attend online customer meetings and respond to emails in a timely fashion.

  • Assist the Head of QC to ensure that production and QC activities are performed to the PETNET Quality System in accordance with cGMP.

  • Perform QC testing and carry out environmental monitoring according to schedule.

  • Analytical chemistry analysis and troubleshooting of applicable techniques e.g., HPLC, GC, TLC, IC, Endotoxin Assay

  • Work to a shift pattern for manufacturing according to customer demands and business needs.

  • Assist in facility preparation for MHRA and other regulatory inspections where required.

  • Ensure adequate stock levels of QC consumables are maintained.

  • Ensure ongoing continuous professional development to achieve full awareness and technical knowledge of all current legislation and scientific development associated with PET radiopharmaceuticals and their production.

  • Work with other PETNET staff to ensure alignment of operational processes.

Key Skills / Experience Required for the Analytical Chemist:

  • Experience in analytical chemistry methods in a cGMP environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Radio Chemistry knowledge is desirable

  • This position is open to both experienced and Graduate Pharma/ Chemists

  • It is imperative that you cannot be late for this position due to the nature of the role so living local to Nottingham hospital is desirable

  • Proficient I.T skills and extracting Data

  • Presentation skills/ either in a work or University environment
