Advanced Practitioner

Location: Oldham

Rate: £40 umbrella

Hours: 37 Per week

Start: ASAP

An Advanced Practitioner is required for the Permanence Team in Oldham.

You would hold a small case load on average of up to 12 children and Young People in Local Authority care and to the expectations would be to review progress and develop their care plans to best meet their individual needs and all that this entails, which would leave you with the capacity to undertake the additional responsibilities of the Advanced Practitioner.

Duties Include:

  • Facilitating group reflective supervision for member of the Team
  • Holding learning circles, chairing Care planning meetings where appropriate on children and YP not allocated to you but a SW on the team
  • Offering 1:1 advise and support and specific tasks as directed by the TM.

The hybrid model is normally 3 days office based and 2 days WFH.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Previous Child protection experience ideally mental health and disabilities.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
