Are you a degree qualified chemical engineer? Are you looking to join a progressive business going through an exciting period of growth due to significant investment?

We are looking for an Adsorption Specialist to join an expanding chemical manufacturing business that supply sustainable solutions to the coatings, healthcare, electronics and energy storage industries. As a young and progressive business, they are focused on fighting climate change by enabling more energy efficient carbon capture.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and several years of manufacturing experience in the evaluation of solid sorbents, breakthrough analysis and surface area measurements.

08:30-17:00 Monday – Thursday / 08:30 – 15:00 Friday

£35,000+ per annum

Adsorption Specialist
Key Responsibilities
  • You will be liaising with end users, engineering partners and the in-house R&D team to develop solutions to solve customer application needs.
  • Evaluating solid sorbents for gas separation processes including carbon capture.
  • Using experimental characterisation techniques including breakthrough analysis and surface area measurements
  • You will be involved in the design and practical operation of gas separation processes.
  • Working across multiple projects at one time.
  • Communicating technical results and concepts through written reports and presentations.

Adsorption Specialist
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • A degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or materials science/ similar is essential (Chemical engineering preferred)
  • Experience with solid sorbents is essential.
  • Experience with breakthrough analysis and surface area measurements is essential.
