Salary: £23,500 to £23,893 per annum.

Location: Your main office will be in Chichester with working from home options to be agreed with your line manager.

Contract: Fixed-term until 01/08/2025.

Working pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working options available, to be agreed with your line manager.

Employer Pension Contribution: 20.70% this alters per annum on the 1 April each year.

Annual leave: 25 days holiday + Bank holidays = 33 days.

In this role, you will be providing an efficient business support service to the sustainability team by prioritising your daily tasks based on team requirements and service objectives.

You will support project and program delivery, including playing a key role in the rollout of our corporate Carbon Literacy program, as well as contributing to our monitoring and evaluation processes.

You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of administrative tasks, which are likely to include:

  • Liaising and coordinating with services throughout the council,
  • Arranging meetings,
  • Documenting and monitoring the progress of meeting action points,
  • Tracking performance against targets,
  • Analysing data and managing information flows, including assisting the team in staying current with research and policy updates.

What we need from you:

  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to changing situations and new ways of working positively and effectively. Including the ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Able to demonstrate an interest in environmental issues / sustainability.
  • Experience of working in an office environment and remotely.
  • Computer literate.
