Job Title - Accounts Supervisor

Location - Watford - Hybrid/ Remote

Salary - £37,500-£40,000

All Applicants must have UK Practise experience and have qualifications such as ACA or ACCA.

Our client is a leading Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisers in London, Watford and Milton Keynes. With 17 Principals and just under 200 staff They are a significant firm in the region. They advise businesses and individuals in the UK and worldwide and are members of TGS - an international network of professional firms.

To assist our Watford team in helping to grow the firm, the duties you will carry out are:

  • Accounts production and review.

  • Bookkeeping and Client management accounting (Xero expert would be an advantage) also Sage and Quickbooks knowledge.

  • Preparation of accounts and VAT returns for Sole Traders, Company and Partnerships.

  • Processing Journals and finalising Accounts.

  • Accurate data entry input and updating.

  • Telephone liaison with clients.

  • Planning, prioritising, reviewing and allocation of all relevant client accounts preparation work ensuring effective team briefings and overall workflow.

  • Establishment of scope and budget for each piece of client work and ensure adequate briefing to team members.

  • Satisfactory completion of all client work in line with agreed budget ensuring adherence to relevant standards and procedures such that the completed work can be easily reviewed and signed off by a Principal.

  • Monitor work progress and ensure appropriate levels of communication with clients and team on progress for each project or task.

  • Assist Managers in the preparation of bills for work done in the department and ensure timely despatch to client in accordance with accounts planning document where relevant.

Ideally you will have the following skills:

  • To be either ACCA or ACA qualified.

  • Ideally educated to BTEC or A’ Level standard.

  • Accounts experience from a practice background.

  • IT competent and be familiar with computerised packages.

  • The ability to work on own initiative and be flexible.

  • The ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

BENEFITS AND EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Full time role - Monday to Friday (flexible time policy - combination of office/home working).

Remuneration will be dependent on experience.

Right to work in the UK required.

The package will include:

  • AnnualAnnual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week’s salary.

  • Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme all staff are auto enrolled. (Employer: 5%; Employee:3%) subject to eligibility.

  • Private Medical Insurance following completion of 3 months service (this is a taxable benefit).

  • Death in Service scheme cover (4x salary).

  • Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of 3 months service.

  • Annual Leave will be 25 days per annum (pro rata). 3 days are normally taken at Christmas/New Year.
