Our client an established wealth management and accountancy firm are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their growing team in Whiteley, Fareham.

The role will involve dealing with the accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping and VAT for a mixed porfolio of clients.

Duties include:-

  • Supporting the team leader with managing client portfolio of clients; including compliance work such as, the preparation of company accounts, self-assessment tax returns, partnership tax returns, bookkeeping, VAT returns. Trust tax return experience is welcomed but not essential.
  • Reviewing work prepared by more junior members of the team, providing feedback and assisting with any queries
  • Assisting with the supervision, training and development of more junior members of the team
  • Directing others within the tax & accountancy team on specific jobs to assist you with the client compliance work
  • Dealing directly with clients to discuss their Tax & Accountancy needs and ongoing client compliance work
  • Meeting with potential new clients to outline our services and fees
  • Liaising with advisors within the group to gather information on clients for use in compliance work

You will ideally have at least 3 years accounts and tax experience within practice and hold a relevant qualification such as ATT, ACCA and ACA, although QBE will also be considered. Study assistance is also offered if required.

The role will be predominantly based in their Whiteley office, although you will be required to visit the firm's other offices on occasions.
