TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established Top 30 Accountancy Practice that is in search of an Accounts Senior to join their accounts team in Sussex. You will work in a varied position across both accounts 70% and audits 30%, servicing a mixed portfolio of clients across Sussex and the South-East. Their clients are across a range of industries and you will be working with both corporate businesses and charity organisations. As a wider business, they provide a range of general accountancy practice services to their clients, typically consisting of audit, accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, tax, VAT, CIS and payroll and many more technical advisory services.

As an Accounts Senior, you will have a hands-on role, responsible for:

  • Prepare accounts for the audit team across the firm
  • Controlling a portfolio of clients comprising individuals and owner managed businesses
  • Preparation of accounts for companies, partnerships, LLP’s and sole traders
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations
  • Preparation of partnership tax returns and adjusted profit computations
  • Preparation of personal tax returns and computations
  • Review of VAT returns
  • Use of online accounting packages
  • Ensure the implementation of all relevant client work ensuring effective team workflow
  • Arrange & lead accounts planning meetings so as to maximise implementation of immediate resources
  • Supervise semi seniors & assistants who are involved in production and delivery of work
  • Act as a key point of contact for nominated clients to manage all their compliance & other service requirements



Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience with full FRS 102 accounts, IFRS accounts
  • Experience of preparation of group accounts and consolidations including cashflow statements
  • Experience of foreign subsidiary conversions including pre and post-acquisition reserves
  • Experience of calculating minority interests
  • Minimum ACA/ACCA part qualified



Benefits

£35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
