We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Assistant to join the finance team of one of London’s top Universities. This position is a temporary contract and will be crucial in ensuring the efficient management of the receivables, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the financial operations of the university.

Job Title: Interim Accounts Receivable Assistant

Hourly rate: £19.31 - £21.64

Length of contract: until the end of July 2024

Location: London (hybrid working, 2 days on site per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Entering invoices onto the finance systems
  • Recording sales transactions in the accounting system
  • Completing credit checks on new customers and setting credit limits
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or outstanding issues with accounts
  • Query management and resolution

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role
  • Experience using a large financial system (Oracle is highly desirable)
  • Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to complete Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with higher education finance processes (desirable but not essential)
