Well, I might have a role for you.
A new branch within a Housing Association has been established to support a newly won contract within Birmingham City Centre. With a new branch comes a new team which is what our client needs. This position has so many possibilities for you to gain real hands one experience and exposure. One role they are looking to grow in is Accounts Payable.
Now as it is a startup business, they do need support within the set up of the business which include.
- Enter data accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with Compliance and Governance.
- Assisting with Purchasing
- Supporting with system implementation and improvements.
- Expense processing and credit card processing.
Once the business has reached a point of structure and organisation the role will become more of a 'traditional' accounts payable position, with duties such as.
- Processing invoices from contracts/subcontractors
- Matching invoices to Purchase Orders
- Bank and Statement Reconciliations
- Answering and resolving an Accounts Payable related queries
- Other ad hoc duties set out by a senior member of the team.
Candidate Experience:
- Obtained a Financial/Accounting degree.
- Someone experience within Construction/Property is desirable.
- Knowledge/understanding of CIS and subcontractors.
- Experience working within a financial role.
- Committed and able to work within the office for 5 days a week.
- Have ambition/hunger/drive for finance.
