Accounts Payable Assistant

Role Overview:
In this role, you'll work closely with seasoned qualified accountants, along with other AAT students who can assist you with your studies. This presents an incredible chance to learn from experienced professionals who are dedicated to helping you grow in your finance career.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing: Assist with the timely and accurate processing of invoices, including data entry, coding, and obtaining necessary approvals.
2. Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries, discrepancies, and payment status in a professional and courteous manner.
3. Expense Reimbursements: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
4. Payment Processing: Support the accounts payable team in preparing and processing payments via check, ACH, or electronic transfer.
5. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices, payments, and related documentation, both electronically and physically.
6. Assist with Month-End Closing: Provide assistance with month-end closing activities, such as account reconciliation and preparation of financial reports.
7. Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with special projects and other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Finance Manager.
