I am looking for an experienced Accounting Leader to join my client on an initial 9-month FTC. My client is a leading Aerospace Manufacturing organisation and are looking for individuals who have who possess diverse experience in both analysis and accounting and are a competent Microsoft Excel user.

Job Description
  • Ensure financial business processes complies with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Generate, forecast and analyse trends in sales, finance and other areas of business to assist in financial planning.
  • Participate in the monthly close process by generating various journal entries, preparing required reconciliations, and analytically reviewing specific general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper valuation.
  • Perform annual internal audits, identifying inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls and recommends improvements.
  • Confirm that book closings are achieved within an acceptable time schedule.
  • Prepare monthly forecast and bridge analysis for the P&L.
  • Analyse reports and/or corrects multiplicity accounting fluctuations to ensure proper decision making.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Experience in leading a site (s) from PNC & operational point of view is essential.
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of relevant 5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in financial forecast modelling with Excel is highly desirable for this role.
  • Thorough understanding and experience in financial accounting and control processes, while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with changing situations.
  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills to evaluate financial results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools.
