Goldhawk Associates are supporting a local Mid Kent based firm with a strong local reputation. They are based in modern offices and have a strong Partnership team who work well to support a nurturing and professional environment. They are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager to join them.

You will be for working across their accounting and audit service provision for their clients and you will:

Provide visible leadership within the practice to support the growth of the firm
Organise and manage work flow for the Accounts/Audit team ensuring deadlines are met.
Review and monitor work closely.
Work closely with bookkeeping manager and their team.
Manage staff time sheets and delegation of work throughout the team.
Assess and recommend improvements to systems and procedures to deliver excellent client service.
Provide highest level of service and advisory support to our clients.
Assist in accounts preparation, management accounts and management of audit and build strong client relationships.
Be involved in apprenticeship development reviews with college for AAT/ACCA/ICAEW and identifying staff training needs.
Support the Partners in providing all round accounts/audit services
Work supporting a portfolio and be responsible for work planning and review
Working and managing a team
Liaise and work with clients to provide services
You will be office based but will have to visit clients when required
Year-end stat accounts that can go straight to partner with for review
Management accounts with a lot of client facing discussion
Some audit so technically capable at FRS102
Have the confidence to conduct themselves in discussions with clients.
Provide general accounts support, management accounting and accounting support
Prepare VAT returns and work with the tax team where required.
You will be ITC literate, specifically Sage 50 and Xero
You must work well with other stakeholders both internal and external
If you have previous management experience this could be beneficial
Have a proven track record in providing accountancy and audit services within a similar environment

This position is a key role within the practice and they are looking for someone to fit with the team and be able to contribute to the overall success of the firm. They in turn offer a friendly and welcoming environment with a strong ethos with a professional approach.
