We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a company in Leighton Buzzard, this is a full time role and the working hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm.

Please note, this role is FULLY office based.

Our client offers great opportunity for growth and development and benefits from being close to excellent transport links, with numerous amenities close by.

The successful candidate will have a basic knowledge of accounts.

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Bank statements and exports.
  • Daily postings of receipts and payments for both our Client and Office accounts.
  • Posting of bills.
  • Processing incoming cheques and daily banking.
  • Processing of transfers between internal accounts.
  • Processing BACS, CHAPS, and cheque requests.
  • Deposit account receipts and withdrawals.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Processing of weekly employee expenses.
  • Petty cash.
  • Month end reconciliations and figures.
  • Input and payment of supplier invoices.
  • Supporting the Fee Earners with any additional duties, as and when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good IT skills (working knowledge of Excel).
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy office.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the Solicitors Account Rules and Law Society Guidelines would be an advantage.
