We are currently working with a a small but successful business based in the Didcot area who are seeking someone to join them as an Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join an established forward thinking business that provides a family and team-orientated working environment. Ideally you will have some experience in a similar role, knowledge of basic accounting principles, strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

You will be working in a small finance team and reporting into the Accounts Manager, duties will the following;

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
  • Enter customer payments and chase outstanding invoices
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Help maintain the company management system
  • Create credit notes
  • Support the finance team with various administrative tasks
  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks


Successful applicants should have the following :

  • Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Sage, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft - beneficial but not assential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Be able to work well in a team environment
