Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Client Details
Our client is a leader in the industrial/manufacturing sector. With a team of over 500 dedicated professionals, they are committed to delivering high-quality products and services to their clients. They have a strong presence in the UK market and are now looking to expand their accounting and finance department.
The client is based in central Newbury with easy access via public transport and also with parking on site. They are in the office each day.
Description
The key aspects of the Accounts Assistant will be to:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Work with the finance team to prepare monthly/quarterly budgets
- Process invoices and expenses
- Assist in tax preparation
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Monitor and manage petty cash transactions
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- An ability to understand Pricing structures and costs on Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
