A great opportunity has opened up for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an employer in St Albans.

To be successful you will need an AAT qualification.

Day to day tasks include:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
Prepare and issue invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions Bank Reconciliation:
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank records and company accounts

General Ledger Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified

Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Provide support during audits by preparing audit schedules and providing requested documentation

Ad Hoc Tasks:
Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned

Required skills:
AAT
SAP B1 (desirable)
A minimum of two years in a similar role
