Do you have strong office-based experience and would like to get into an accounts role?

Reed Accountancy are currently working with a business in Liversedge who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Full-training will be provided and candidates who are eager to change their career and progress within accounts are encouraged to apply.

Location: Liversedge
Salary: Up to £25K (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: 9am-5pm (1 hour lunch – 35 hours perk week)
Position: Full-time, Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger: input purchase invoices, purchase ledger payments, close off purchase ledger
  • Sales Ledger: send invoices and statements, S/L close off and invoicing
  • Process BACS payments
  • Deal with customer/supplier account queries
  • Create, prepare, and reconcile suppler monthly payment runs/statements
  • Maintain customer/supplier accounts
  • Provide support for the accounts team in relation to customer account payments
  • Process new supplier credit applications and set up new supplier accounts
  • Additional ad hoc admin duties

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Opera experience (desirable)
