Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a company in Liversedge who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their small and friendly team. This is a full-time and permanent position working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour’s lunch (35 hours per week).

Salary: Up to £25K (depending on experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger: input purchase invoices, purchase ledger payments, close off purchase ledger
  • Sales Ledger: send invoices and statements, S/L close off and invoicing
  • Process BACS payments
  • Deal with customer/supplier account queries
  • Create, prepare, and reconcile suppler monthly payment runs/statements
  • Maintain customer/supplier accounts
  • Provide support for the accounts team in relation to customer account payments
  • Process new supplier credit applications and set up new supplier accounts
  • Additional ad hoc admin duties

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Opera experience (desirable)
