Are you working for an Accountancy firm and feel ready to take your accounting career to the next level?

My client, a growing firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join their growing team near Eastbourne.

As Accounts Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing a range of accounting services including preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, and bookkeeping for clients. You will also help to supervise and support junior staff, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare accounts in accordance with FRS 102(1A) for a mixed portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Management accounts preparation
  • VAT return preparation
  • Bookkeeping for clients
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Studying towards a recognized accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, AAT)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A desire to learn and progress your career in Practice
