Accounts Assistant | Telford | Permanent | £25,000 - £30,000 (Depending on experience)

We are delighted to be supporting a growing international network of professional service providers who are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join their growing team and thrive in this supportive environment, where career progression comes as standard.

Working alongside senior accountants, you will have great exposure to preparing and analysing financial information to ensure that your clients are receiving the high-quality service they have grown accustomed to.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts, up to trial balance stage.
  • Processing invoices and recording receipts and payments.
  • Preparing control accounts, reconciling ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts.
  • Completing and submitting tax returns, VAT returns and CIS returns.
  • Processing company expenses and using payroll systems.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a technically demanding finance role.
  • AAT part/qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • A high level of professionalism.
  • Ideally competent in Quickbooks and or/Xero.
  • Good IT skills, especially Microsoft packages.
