Sheridan Maine are working in partnership with a reputable business based in Newbury who are currently recruiting for an entry level Accounts Assistant to join their head office finance department. 

This excellent opportunity will offer full training and study support for AAT (if required). Candidates being considered will have some prior finance experience or looking to make their first career move in to the accounting world.

The successful candidate will have the chance to be involved in a range of activities, which will include:

  • Managing purchase and sales invoices
  • Handling payment queries
  • Performing account reconciliations 
  • Month end reporting
  • Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • Undertaking credit control duties
  • Processing payments 

Our client is looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and willing to learn.  You must have good numerical skills and an eye for detail as well as being an excellent communicator. A competent level of IT skills with prior experience of using Excel is essential.
