Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated Accounts Assistant? Do you have a positive attitude and excellent numerical skills? Our client, an organisation based in Petworth, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their friendly finance team.

Experience in Sage 50 Accounting and Sage Payroll is essential. This role would suit a motivated individual who uses their initiative and excellent numerical skills to produce highly accurate work to deadline.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the company purchase and sales ledgers, including raising sales invoices and processing purchase invoices.
  • Produce weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Process and post monthly journals.
  • Liaise with third party providers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Update and maintain procedural documentation.
  • Investigate discrepancies.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and staff expenses.
  • Assist with audits.

Requirements:

  • Finance/accounting experience of 3 years or more.
  • Experience working with Sage 50 Accounting and Sage Payroll software is essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, including previous experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure.

This is a full-time, permanent position. With the hours of work being 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. In addition to a competitive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 per year, our client also offers 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays per annum. On-site parking and a contributory pension scheme are also available.
