Accounts Assistant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with growing business based in Barnsley as they look to strengthen their team with the appointment of a competent and knowledgeable Accounts Assistant to work across the full end-to-end finance function!

You will be proactive, resilient and have excellent communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and resilience, maintain a positive can-do approach and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Duties of the Accounts Assistant will include:

• Deliver Credit Control & Purchase ledger metrics 
• Contribute and deliver month end closing activities
• Assist with annual business plan / midyear re-forecast
• Assist with annual audit
• Assist with ad hoc projects
• VAT Returns preparation
• CIS Returns preparation
• Deliver on time and accurate Office of national statistic returns
• Support with cloud financials system development

Key Skills & Experience required: 

• Previous knowledge and experience of working within a Finance Team across different functions
• Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions
• Excel skills to include data manipulation by creation of simple pivot tables, data lookups, simple IF statements and data sorting / summation
• Currently enrolled and participating in Professional Qualification
• SAP Knowledge desirable 
• Unrestricted UK residency and right to work
