Accounts Assistant

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a large company in Sheffield.  This role is joining a well-established finance team to support on a full time basis during a period of massive growth for the extremely reputable company. The role offers great study support and career opportunities for the right person!

Key responsibilities

  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Raising and sending credit notes
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Processing expenses
  • VAT returns for multiple locations (Quarterly and monthly)
  • Development into some basic management accounting
  • Creating and analysing data using Excel
  • Assisting with Month end tasks
  • Posting and allocating receipts to customer accounts
  • Managing customer accounts
  • Looking after the debtors list and contacting customers in regards to overdue payments
  • Creating and sending accounts payable invoices
  • Sending invoices and statements to customers
  • Assisting the wider finance team with any as hoc duties

To be successful considered for this role, you will bring the following experience / skills:

  • High attention to detail
  • Experience working in fast paced office environment
  • Relevant experience in a similar accounts role
  • Computer literate, confident in using Microsoft Excel
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work as part of a team with friendly and tactful personality
