Our client is seeking a Accounts Assistant with a strong background in manufacturing environments, ideally within the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and preparing live financial records for factory operations. This role requires a practical and commercially minded individual with a questioning analytical approach and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity. This role is offering hybrid working with only 2 days a week in the office and a salary of 32,000.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Administer and prepare financial records for factory operations, including manual transactions and adjustments.
  • Contribute to Monthly Factory Performance Reports and undertake initial investigations into any issues arising.
  • Aid in the control of inventory, advising management on the financial implications of their actions.
  • Ensure data integrity of inventory and complete transitions associated with Factory balance sheets.
  • Provide financial lead and KPI analysis for various projects and stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and the maintenance of factory KPI reports.
  • Orchestrate site financial reviews and support the company financial audit process.
  • Provide financial and administrative support to factory Capital and other project expenditures.
  • Maintain and develop documented procedures for all factory accounting practices.
  • Verify OfGem data submissions and reports to support energy incentive scheme claims.
  • Complete NPD product costing standards updates and ensure accurate data in the ERP system.
  • Champion business process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum AAT Level 3, ideally Level 4; ideally obtained in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aspiration to study towards a professional qualification with a recognised CCAB Accountancy body.
  • Experience in management accounts, preferably with knowledge of manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced IT skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative with strong team skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Operates with the highest degree of integrity and trust.
  • Experience with LEAN or other Continuous Improvement techniques is desirable.
