Accounts Assistant - Part-Time - Fully Remote

Reed Accountancy is delighted to bring a wonderful opportunity to market, for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a leading business within the IT sector. This part-time role offers fully remote working and a competitive salary and benefits package. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for processing daily transactional accounting as well as some month-end responsibilities. These include:

• Purchase ledger management - processing, recording and paying invoices
• Sales ledger management - preparing and issuing invoices, allocating payments to accounts
• Reconciliations across suppliers statements and bank accounts - investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Processing purchase orders
• Cash flow reporting
• Preparing banking journals
• Company credit card management and reconciliation
• Employee expense verification, processing and payment
• Accruals and prepayments
• Intercompany transactions and journals
• Continuous improvement of processes and efficiencies

This role will suit a strong Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant, with experience across all transactional accounting and month-end activities. The company will support your development and progression, including offering training for more senior responsibilities and can even provide financial study support toward full professional qualification. The ideal candidate will have AAT or be part-qualified however this is not essential, if you have the right experience then please do still apply.

The number of hours per week worked, and when those hours are worked can be flexible, e.g. 2/3 full days per week or 5 short days. Salary is up to £35k FTE and the fantastic benefits package includes fully remote working (there is office space in Glasgow for those who prefer to work hybrid or in the office), up to 32 days annual leave, 5% employer pension contribution, healthcare and retail perks, life assurance policy and more.
