Accounts Assistant - Accountancy Practice

We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a long established and successful chartered accountancy firm in Lewes, East Sussex.

This is a great opportunity to join a leading independent firm of chartered accountants in Lewes, East Sussex as part of their lively and growing business services team.

In this this busy and varied role you will be part of a professional and supportive team, working with a range of SME clients, preparing year end accounts and tax computations, bookkeeping and VAT returns. There is also the opportunity to be involved in audit work if you are interested.

There is plenty of training and support to help you maximise your skills, and there is plenty of scope to progress your career in the future. The firm are big enough to have an interesting range of clients, but small enough to retain a family feel. They are based in modern, centrally located offices and offer free parking

About you

• Recent accounts preparation experience gained in an accountancy firm
• Probably already studying AAT/ACCA/ACA or QBE
• Good working knowledge of cloud based accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Organised, detail minded with strong communication skills
