Based in Central Brighton (office based due to the nature of the role)
£23,000 - £32,000 (DOE) per annum plus study support towards ACA

Tony Alan Recruitment is currently recruiting an exciting new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant (ACA) to join an established practice with offices in the southern regions to join the Brighton office on a permanent basis.

Below are the duties you will be exposed to:

  • Accounts production for a variety of different entities including limited companies, soul traders, partnerships etc
  • Assist with audit
  • VAT return preparation
  • Tax compliance
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with senior team members to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients for enhancing financial processes and controls
  • Develop a deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and industry-specific knowledge

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience in accountancy from the commercial sector or practice. Or degree educated (2.1 or above)
  • Good computer literacy, with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Confident telephone manner
