Are you an experienced accounts assistant with strong knowledge of purchase ledger? If so, our client, an aerospace manufacturer, is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for their site in Derby on a 3-month contract basis. The role will involve supporting the team with day to day finance tasks.

Salary dependent on experience
Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm or 8am – 5pm, Friday 7am – 12pm

Job Description
  • Processing invoices adhering to SLA.
  • Managing supplier accounts and transactions, including petty cash and being the point of contact for supplier queries.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and preparing control account reconciliations.
  • Handling supplier payments and enhancing process controls.    
  • Assisting in creating and maintaining customer accounts, aiding in credit control, and processing invoices and credit notes.

Accounts Assistant
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Experience working within a similar accounts assistant/administrator position.
  • Well-versed carrying out a range of finance tasks, including purchase ledger activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
