  • An established and family-friendly accountancy firm in Nottingham are seeking to hire an experienced Accountant, anywhere from Senior Accountant through to Manager or Senior Manager grade for a crucial job role offering free parking and very good work / life balance, with an early finish particularly useful throughout the light nights of spring / summer.
  • There is definitely the opportunity for this role to develop to a Director / Partner position for the right person.
  • The offices are very nice, holidays are generous, there is little to no overtime and the firm work a 35 hour week, less than many other firms. Start and finish times are also flexible, but most people start slightly earlier and finish earlier. Healthcare, a mobile phone and strong holidays are on offer.
  • Full time OR Part time hours are possible and this role is well paid, as the firm value this position and are keen to hire the right person for a long-term fit.

Dealing with a mixed portfolio of clients, they range from SME's to good sized companies, some with property interests, where you would be involved in some of the more technical work, due to your experience. 

This firm are a small to medium sized accountancy practice, with a flat management style, so you will have support from other senior professionals and manage your clients, whilst reviewing and managing staff.

You will have proven experience, gained in an independent or national accountancy practice, but be seeking a friendly, flexible, generous employer offering a varied and rewarding role, with good pay and benefits, but genuine work / life balance.

Your Job

Dealing with a client base of mainly owner managed and family-owned businesses across the East Midlands, this new role is a big step in this firm delivering their exciting growth plans.

Your role will involve;

  • Look after your own portfolio of clients – carrying out accounts / tax work and meeting clients. (approx 3 days per week)
  • Manage, mentor and develop the trainee accountants. (approx 2 days per week)
  • Audit is optional, it can be involved in the role or not, dependent on your skills and preference
  • Contribute to the leadership of the practice.
