Accountant (Part-Qualified) Renewables

Meraki Talent are engaged to appoint a permanent Accountant (Part-Qualified) Renewables based in Edinburgh paying £36,000-£40,000 plus an excellent benefits package including bonus.

The Opportunity

The position of Accountant presents the opportunity to join a highly successful and established renewable energy business that has achieved superb growth across the United Kingdom and Europe.

The Role

This role is a newly created role to assist the Finance Manager across several high value & profile projects providing excellent variety and visibility. The key components of the role will include:

• Reporting to and deputising for the Finance Manager
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders & departments outside finance
• Involvement in several high profile & value projects
• Feeding into group finance
• Reviewing developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
• Responsibility for:

o Assisting with financial accounts

o Assisting with management accounts

o Balance sheet integrity

o VAT & taxation returns

o Budget, forecasting & cash flow analysis

o Perodic and adhoc analysis

Candidate Profile

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

• Part qualified (actively studying)
• Financial & management accounting experience
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient user of Excel
