Account Manager position in a forward thinking and hugely experienced accountancy practice. The formation of this firm dates all the way back to 1887, and over the years has grown and expanded, and are now a 6 partner firm based in Lewes

Account Manager Position Overview

Preparation of Financial Statements:

Oversee the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Review and finalize financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Management Accounting:

Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for clients, providing insights into their financial performance and supporting decision-making processes.

Analyse financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Tax Compliance:

Manage the preparation and filing of VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and deadlines.

Assist clients with tax compliance, including Corporation Tax, Personal Tax, and other tax-related matters.

Bookkeeping:

Oversee bookkeeping activities for clients, including recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and reconciling accounts.

Ensure bookkeeping processes are efficient and comply with accounting standards and best practices.

Client Management:

Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and reliability.

Understand clients' business needs and objectives, and provide strategic advice and solutions to help them achieve their financial goals

Portfolio Oversight:

Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely delivery of services and meeting client expectations.

Monitor client financial performance and identify opportunities for additional services and cross-selling opportunities.

Financial Advisory:

Provide financial advisory services to clients, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Analyse client financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Account Manager Position Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE
  • Commutable to Lewes
  • Minimum of 5 years practice experience
  • Strong knowledge of client management, preparation of accounts, VAT, bookkeeping, and more
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • UK citizen
  • No requirement for sponsorship
Account Manager Position Remuneration
  • £40-45k salary, depending on qualifications and experience
  • A range of benefits to be discussed in later stages of interview
