Account Director - Associations and Banqueting
Sutton Coldfield
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits, car allowance and bonus

Our client, a leading business within the leisure industry, is currently seeking an adept Account Director who has significant experience within associations and banqueting to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As an Account Director, you'll be pivotal in representing the highly-esteemed company and contributing to their dynamic expansion, securing opportunities in association, banqueting, MICE, and Group markets.

The responsibilities:

  • Actively seek new business opportunities within designated customer segments in alignment with the company's business plan, driving revenue growth and securing additional events.
  • Support sales lead conversion through effective communication, site visits, and exceptional customer service, aiming to win additional events.
  • Promote the company through active participation in industry exhibitions, client events, networking, and familiarisation visits.
  • Implement strategic account plans to achieve targets and enhance productivity.
  • Represent the business in relevant industry associations, contributing to their membership and activities.
  • Cultivate valuable relationships with suppliers and external partners, positioning the business as a key customer and partner within the industry.
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities for profit, client value creation, and innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of account development efforts and provide recommendations for future objectives and plans.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to advise on future business and pricing structures.
  • Provide support and collaborate with the on-site Events Team.

The candidate:

  • Proven sales experience in the hotel industry, showcasing strong sales and account management skills.
  • Successful track record in cultivating and sustaining client relationships, particularly in association and large banqueting markets.
  • Ability to thrive in a large sales team environment, fostering collaboration and support, while contributing positivity and energy to drive team success.
  • Experienced with Sales Force, Delphi, Opera, and similar software.
  • Skilled in account management and revenue maximisation.
  • Based in commutable distance to Sutton Coldfield.
