ACCOUNTS & AUDIT SENIOR / PLYMOUTH - HYBRID WORKING OPTIONS AVAILABLE
Location: Plymouth, PL6 / Hybrid
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week, part time hours considered
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Senior to join our clients Accountancy practice in Plymouth.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders up to the audit threshold
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services
Working as part of the digital services team supporting the delivery of app research and recommendation engagements based upon the Xero app ecosystem
Filing Companies House and HMRC documents on clients behalf
Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns
Planning, managing, controlling and conducting the audit fieldwork for a portfolio of the firms clients
Preparing financial statements
Understanding technical matters and presenting them
Managing and developing junior members of the team
Carrying out technical research and providing advice for clients and other members of the firm
Assisting the Audit Partners in developing the departments
Networking with the business communities in which office and clients are based
About you:
- Able to multi-task and work well independently
Able to take initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Eye for detail
Ability to present information effectively in emails and documents
Experience working at an Accounts or Audit Senior level within an accountancy practice
ACA / ACCA qualified or part qualified (AAT qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered)
